MK Global Heritage is a Milton Keynes-based organisation raising awareness of Pakistani culture and heritage, and laying the groundwork for public celebrations — melas, Eid festivals, and community events — everyone will be welcome to join.
Why we started this
A few of us in Milton Keynes kept saying the same thing: our festivals were happening quietly, in living rooms and back gardens, when they belonged in parks and public halls — open to the whole community. MK Global Heritage is us doing something about it, together, from scratch.
Our mission
We're building MK Global Heritage to give Pakistani culture and heritage a proper public stage in Milton Keynes — melas, Eid festivals, and seasonal gatherings with food, music, craft stalls, and space for kids to grow up seeing it celebrated loudly.
We're just getting started. That means our early events will be small, community-led, and built with whoever shows up to help — vendors, performers, volunteers, local families. If you want to shape this from the ground floor, now is the time.

What we're building
We're still at the awareness stage — building the foundation before we put names and dates to anything. This is the shape of what we're working towards.
Bringing Pakistani traditions — melas, Eid festivals, seasonal gatherings — out of living rooms and into open, public spaces the whole community can take part in.
We're not building something separate from Milton Keynes — we want Pakistani heritage to sit alongside and connect with the town's wider community life.
Beyond events, we want to be a point of contact for people in our community — connecting them to local resources, each other, and opportunities to help.
Making sure traditions reach the next generation of Pakistani families growing up in the UK, not just the generation that brought them here.
